Battle: Los Angeles (starring Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez) doesn’t open until 2011 but the buzz about this aliens invading Earth flick has begun, both at Comic-Con 2010 and with launch of a website titled W.A.T.C.H. (Worldwide Assessment of Threats Concerning Humankind).

It’s all very Cloverfield-ish and Distrct 9-ish. The W.A.T.C.H. site is documentary in style and contains eyewitness testimony and expert analysis about aliens on Earth, UFO sightings and related matters. Some people who appear in W.A.T.C.H. videos appear to be real (e.g. a publisher of UFO books), while others may well be actors. Witness the following video:
