Here are the nominees for Best Actress In A Movie I Saw In 2009:

Rachel Weisz - as the sheltered heiress with many hobbies and questionable social skills, who draws the attention of con men brothers Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo in The Brothers Bloom.

Carey Mulligan - as the intelligent, outspoken but inexperienced teen who falls under the spell of a 30′ish man in An Education. (see my review of An Education)

Sandra Bullock - as the hard charging Mother with a good heart and yen for football in The Blind Side.  (see my review of The Blind Side)

Emily Blunt - as the teenager who becomes Queen and is forced to deal with politics and palace intrigue in The Young Victoria.

Kate Winslet - as a bored suburban housewife in the 1950′s struggling to break free, with or without her husband, in Revolutionary Road.

[Note: Weisz and Winslet are nominated for films released limited '08, I saw '09]

And the Jabby™ for Best Actress In A Movie I Saw In 2009 goes to:

Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side. (Could be the only winner in this year’s Jabcat Movie Awards who also takes the Oscar.)
